Tauernhof is part of Torchbearers International, a non-denominational, international Christian organization.
Founded in England in 1947 by Major Ian Thomas, the Torchbearer-ministry currently comprises more than 26 centers worldwide. We organize Bible Schools and seminars all year round. We consider our programs as a means to encourage and help our guests in their families, churches and communities. We also want to show the love of God to those who do not yet know him, and help them to come into a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. But foremost our ministry is done unto the one who has called us; Jesus Christ. “Obey them not only to win their favor when their eye is on you, but like slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart. (Eph.6:6). Some Christians learn that the Lord Jesus can make life an adventure. Major W. Ian Thomas – Founder of Torchbearers was one of them.
